2nd May - 3rd May

Embers Fire Festival is a Shropshire event where fire, food and music come together over a full weekend in Ironbridge. Created by Adam Purnell, known as Shropshire Lad, and the team behind Embers Café, the festival was launched to mark the café’s third year of trading and bring together everything they are passionate about, from fire cooking demonstrations and world-class BBQ food to live music and family entertainment.

In the Shropshire Hills

Set in Dale End Park, Embers has quickly established itself as a festival centred entirely around live fire cooking and the wider culture that surrounds it. The programme brings together leading fire chefs, pit masters, traders and food vendors, creating an event that feels rooted in skill, flavour and shared experience rather than a standard food festival format.

The Shropshire Lad

Adam Purnell sits at the heart of the festival’s identity. As founder of Embers Fire Festival, and the force behind Embers Café and Baked Bean, he brings a strong live fire cooking background to the event and leads demonstrations across the weekend, helping shape Embers into a festival with a clear fire-led focus.

A Weekend to Remember

Across the weekend, visitors can expect live cooking demos, respected names from the UK fire cooking scene, BBQ vendors, music, DJs and activities for all the family. It is this mix of serious fire cooking knowledge and relaxed festival atmosphere that gives Embers its distinct character and makes it an increasingly notable event in the UK live fire calendar.

At Embers Fire Festival, visitors can also head to the Kadai stand and see our firebowls in action as part of the wider celebration of outdoor cooking. Our presence sits naturally within a festival built around fire, flavour and cooking over flame.
